Dad's an architect; Mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens. And yet, their lives are anything but "normal." NEXT TO NORMAL, a rock musical with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt, explores how one suburban American family copes with crisis and mental illness. Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

While prospective student tickets are based on availability, the Theatre Arts Program will make every effort to accommodate your request. Thank you!


Ticket Information (per ticket):

General Public:

  • Adult: $5.00
  • Senior (60 and over): $5.00
  • Non Carroll Student: $5.00
  • No refunds

Carroll Univeristy:

  • Carroll Student: Free
  • Carroll Faculty/Staff: Free
  • Carroll Emeriti/Retiree: Free

Online ticket sales will end 24 hours prior to each performance. The Box Office will be open one hour before the start of the performance and will be located in the Otteson Theatre Lobby.

*Tickets are all General Admission, there is no assigned seating for this event. 

Delivery Methods: 


With the E-Ticket delivery method, you will need to print your tickets from a computer to bring with you to the performance. Every person attending the performance will need a ticket to be seated. You will be sent an email with the ability to print your tickets at your convenience.
